School Life
Q1 What are the nationalities of the students?
The students are from countries like China, Korea, Uzbekistan, Viet Nam, Philippines, UK, Italy, USA, Laos, Sri Lanka, and Denmark.
Q2 How many students are there in a class?
We usually have within 20 students in a class.
Q3 Tell me about time schedule.
You will have 4 hours of lessons each day, either in the morning course or in the afternoon course. The morning course is from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and the afternoon course is from 13:00 p.m. to 16:30 p.m.
Q4 Are all the teachers Japanese?
Yes, they are. Our excellent teachers with a lot of experience will support you enthusiastically.
Q5 How do you teach Japanese?
Your goal is not only to get the grammatical knowledge on your mind but also to be able to use natural and practical Japanese. We focus a lot on communication skills.
Q6 Do you provide any courses to prepare for the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students,
         or Japanese Language Proficiency Test?
Yes, we have thorough preparations for these exams.
Q7 Can I study Math to prepare for the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students?
         Can I study English to prepare for the entrance exams of university?
We have special courses during a long vacation such as the summer vacation, though we don't have math and English classes as regular courses.
Q8 What kind of events are there?
We organize events such as Hanami party, excursions for Mt. Fuji, and Tokyo Disneyland, or other seasonal events. Also, Asakusa is a place with a long history of traditional festivals, so you can join Sanja festival in May, or visit Hagoita festival in December, and so on. You can experience Japanese traditions all the year. For more information, see Annual Events.
Q9Are there any extracurricular activities?
We can visit a beer factory, Honda car factory, and Life Safety Learning Center. Participation is organized according to your Japanese language ability. See Annual Events for more details.
Q10Is there any support or guidance for the future careers?
Yes. Our excellent teachers will give you guidance and advice for each student. As for the destinations of our former graduates, please refer to After Graduation.
Q11Is there a scholarship program?
Yes. This scholarship is for students who already studied at our school for more than a year, and had grades within top 5 with great attendance record at the same time.
Q1 Is the beginning of the school term fixed? What documents do I need?
For those with student visa, the terms start in January, April, July, and October. For students with Temporary Visitor visa or Family visa, there is no fixed start date. Please consult it with our staff. For more information, see School Fee and Application.
Q2Can I ask the staff to pick me up at the airport?
Yes, however, it costs extra charge. In some cases, there will be a pick-up service of the dormitory. For more details, please contact us.
Q3 Do you provide dormitory lodging?
We can get you in touch with 2 dormitories in Asakusa, 1 in Ueno, and 1 in Nippori. However you will need to sign up with the dormitory by yourself. Please see Hostels and Dormitory for further details.
Q4 Can I work while studying at your school?
If you have a Student Visa and obtain a certificate for a part-time job (the Certificate to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted by the Status of Residence Previously Granted), you can work up to 28 hours a week. You can see some photos on the Part-Time Job Scene.
Q5 Do you have staff members speaking foreign languages?
Yes, our staff can speak Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), English, Korean, Portuguese, and Malay.
Q6 Can I buy a student commuter pass?
If you have a Student Visa, you can buy a student commuter pass for Toei Subway and Bus. For details, please contact our staff.
Q7 Can I study at your school without Student visa?
Yes, if you have a short-term visa or family visa, you can enter our school even in the middle of the school term. Please feel free to consult with our staff.
Q8 Do you have an age limit?
No. However, the conditions differ from the applicant's nationality, so please make sure to consult our staff.
Q9 Is there support when students need to extend the visa?
Yes, our staff will support you, so don't worry.
